Holy Week Events

Sardis is offering several ways to take part in Holy Week Services. We hope you will make plans to join us for these events:

Maundy Thursday Tailgate – Thursday 4/1 @ 5:30 p.m.

Sardis friends will gather (masked and safely distanced) for a soup supper in the Sardis parking lot. We will begin serving supper (boxed soup and bread) at 5:30 p.m. with vegan and vegetarian options available. At 6:00 p.m., we’ll chime the hour, and read the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ Passover meal with the disciples. Be sure to a bring a lawn chair, and dress warmly as the weather will be chilly.

Community Good Friday Service – Friday 4/2 @ Noon

Sardis will join with Sardis Presbyterian and St. Stephen UMC Churches for our annual Good Friday Service. The service will be streamed on Sardis Presbyterian’s Facebook Page and can be accessed here.

Easter Sunrise Service – Sunday 4/4 @ 6:45 a.m. (or on your own time).

Sardis will livestream a brief Sunrise service on Easter morning that will be accessible via Facebook Live. At the conclusion of the service, we will also post it to YouTube for those who might want to access it beyond sunrise.

Resurrection Sunday Service – Sunday 4/4 @ 11:00 a.m.

Sardis will livestream its traditional Easter service via Facebook Live and Zoom at 11:00 a.m. Join us for special music and Easter joy. Wear bright colors to add to the celebration.
